Can you add input to this;

I have a suzuki samurai - w/ 1.6 16 valve, 5speed, 4to1 T/C, either 4.62's or 5.12's (<--haven't confirmed which gear set) Shackle reverse w/ the Yj springs, SPOA & stretched W/B, power steering, stock F sami axle, Hybrid R sami/kick axle, DCDS's, 33inch tires <

---------------------------

I'am looking for the Obvious that i might not be seeing... such as axle strength or upgrades or a complete F/R axle swap altogether.

I'am not planning on going bigger in the tire dept. *34in max swampers, because they come in the 10.5 range. i just want that sense of security & fact of knowing... the Zuk is stout & won't be breaking.

so i guess maybe, a toyota axle swap is likely - unless others have a idea / opinion, Birfield rings? stronger sami axles? etc? vs toyota axles & upgrades to them?

Thanks ahead of time.... :;

I think the ideal set up for a zuke would be a toy frnt axle,landcruizer rear axle.The fj axle has the proper affset,the bonus is super strong stuff,wider track for better stability.The only down part to this rear end is you cant buy a spool for it but lockers are readily avvailable.Then theres the argument for dana 44 in frnt ford 9" in rear.Bonus is you can save youre wheels use same bolt pattern.Downer is 9" is going to be centered diff.need to find the right one to match up track width to youre dana 44.

You could always take it out wheeling a few times before you decide that you have to change everything.......:corn:

Depends on what you pay for the diffs
Then you have whatever you want to do to the 3rds(gears/lockers)
Can't remember what 30 plines are going for.
All the parts can be found online(you have a hella lot more time to dig up that info).

But its the #1 best upgrade for what you have.

let's say i have the parts, minus the ram - i could just use my power steering, say i had the R/F Axles *(already to go in) & misc. things...

How Much to set it up 4 me?

i WOULD HAVE to see the spring configuration--not familure with what p/s pmp/box you have. To many "ifs" for me to take a guess...

no matter what rig you have youll be worried about changing stuff more than actually wheeling :looser:

again........ WTF

is this too far out there to understand?

I have a fawking reservation next door to me & a **** load of trails in between, i have been out wheeling all month long. if you do not know me personally... just where in the fawk do you guys get off w/ these comments?

i'm just going off of my past experiences w/ the Zuk's weak front end, and yet i've learned what to do & not to do - to save a broken birfield. but Damn, i'm starting to get pretty pissed at some of the comments made.

unless your a friend that knows me, wouldn't it be more respectable to maybe think before typing some of these Jabs at me.

eASY now rich--you have dug this hole for yourself --its kinda like the boy who cried worlf--sure he went to theropy and he's all better now--but does that mean that everybody should listen to him right off the start gate or give him time to be trusted :D

well... I guess THERAPY has been working... I haven't sold the Zuk yet either. I just want a little more BEEF up front... i know boy's will be boy's. I have tough thick skin & can deal w/ it. it just gets tiresome though.

I think my problems are in the gear ratio's though. so i might as well just swap both f/r ends from a yota. not to mention there are alot more options w/ toyota upgrades vs the sami axles.

I have read that, I was more or less hoping to hear from guys that have done this or something to make the Zuk front ends stronger. and to see where their opinion is at, regrets or done differently... etc.

again though that is a great wealth of info in that link.

Now, now Rich, we wouldnt give ya shiet if we didnt love you...:stirpot:

I know......... really I do. I just woke up w/ a chip on my shoulder & a bad back ache. and was trying to figure out how to keep the rear end thats in my zuk, but beef up the front. currently it's open diff up front, as to avoid the strain on the birfields. maybe i wouldn't do to bad to just get Birfield Rings on it.

again, guys... I know in the past i've been a thorn in most sides. i'm working on my behavoir still. shorter pages - less "NEW" threads. :D
