I have an 8" x 1.75" PSC HA ram setup on my D44. What is the best way to limit the travel of it so I can use the ram as my steering stops. I have seen external metal spacers, hard rubber spacers, nylon spacers, and a PSC told me to send it back to them so they could limit the travel on the inside. I would think some kind of rubber external spacer would work great...the only thing that worries me is getting dirt trapped between the spacer and the seal causing it to go out. Any thoughts on what is the best way to go about this???

send it back or buy one with a 6in ram. I havent heard of any other way than installing a stop inside the ram, anything external with recieve the full force of the ram and bend or break.

Its easy to limit them on the inside with metal spacers. done it with a few friends

Dont send it back. Open it up, take the rod out, drop in a piece of pipe that is the length you want the ram reduced and mount it on the axle its easy.:D
