Assuming my triangulation is right. Is it ok to have both uppers and lowers the same length. I know the lower are supposed to be a little longer than the uppers, but will it mess up anything?

I hope it will work on the trail because all my links are the same length. I have cycled is thru ever which way you can in the shop with a forklift and crane and it all seems to work out fine for me.

hey mac mine are the same length give or take a few inches less on the uppers maybe 2"

i have been told 60% to 80% difference between uppers and lowers. so i have always aimed for around 70% . what i have seen with 70% is pinion angle stays very close to the same from full bump to full droop(completly drooped w/no limits). i think with the same length upper and lowers the pinion will rotate close to same arc as link bars. which should keep it pointed towards transfercase. a center limit works for me....keeping drive shaft slip to a minimum at full droop.

My set up is with triangulated uppers & slightly triangulated lowers, with the uppers 30% shorter than the lowers , & the pinion angle stays the same throughout the travel,

with 7" of separation at the axle ,& 4" of separation at the frame , with no flex steer .

But it all depends on frame shape , size & link mount locations , not as critical on a ROCK RIG as a DRAG CAR !

Lowers are 40 and uppers are 36 with 9 inches of seperation at the axle... Kinda what we shot for and got.

I know the perfect set up is for the lowers to be 30% longer but on my new buggy its not going to work out like that. So I guess we will see how it works when I do all of them the same legnth.

Yes its okay to have them the same length.

It wont be a problem. I have a buddy that bought a back halfed jeep that is double triangulated and the uppers are 10in longer than the bottom ones, it flexes great and works fine.
