so what numbers are good to shoot for.

without knowing a ton this is what i want to do are these numbers any good.

Antisquat 105%
Roll center height 28in
Roll Axis Angle 0 Degrees
Instant center X Axis 106in
Instant center Z axis 28in

what numbers are reasonable?

or maybe i should ask what do i want to stay away from?

tried to attach the excel spreadsheet with all the calcs on it but its too big.

Discuss....

Running numbers may be a good place to start but in the end it's trial and error until you find a setup that suits you.

Unless of course you just copy an existing design that you already know works.

basacially i am copying stuff ive seen that works but the actual measurements are all mine for my application:

How the fork are you coping something that works but changing the measurements around :eeek: 1" of seperation at any point can make a huge difference on how the suspension works.

All the roll center and instant center stuff is great if you get to start building the rig from scratch, but if you are doing the setup on an existing rig good luck your going to find out really quick that the link is going to go where it fits and there isn't much you can do about it. Heck even on a new rig you will run into the same problems. :;

by copying i mean the basic layout as to upper mounts on the diff center lower on the tubes. the distance and such are dictated somewhat by wheelbase but as to where the other end lands i am building from scratch.

i have a very detailed layout as to what i want from looking at tons of **** that worked. i applied the exact dimentions of what i want into the calculator and posted the results from the chart.

i have the basic chassis layed out and its time to get more detailed about the geometry so im trying to learn some while playiing around with the numbers.

the rod ends are spendy so until they arrive all i can do is play with numbers and such.

so what numbers to aim at?

i realize maybe more like what range are good and what numbers are undesirable.

i found a pretty good description of what the terms are by Eric Delux over on timbercrawlers but it does not really answer what to aim at.
