local steel prices

Everett steel wants 2.80 per foot for 1.5" .120wall tubing,, ouch, any one know of a supplier (wholesale or not) local???? Thanks, Jeff

I paid 3.85 a foot for 1.75 x .120 HREW at Everett Steel on Friday.

That's DOUBLE what I used to pay through my hookup at EMJ.

No, it's HREW and it's 1.5" .120wall @ 2.80 per foot..

you should probably only pay about $1.50/ft max for that stuff. What you using it for? hopefully nothing to do with protecting life using hrew.

if 1 5/8 .120 dom will work for you i could get you a pretty good deal on that. im about to be ordering 20+ sticks of it so ill get a decent deal on it.

Everett steel doesn't carry dom at all they say it costs to much.

Whasssssssssup Brad!! it's for my rear bumper wrap around, and some sliders, it's also for some other people's rigs, sliders, bumpers etc also!!!
but at @ 2.80 per ft. for HREW there was no way I was gonna get DOM from those clowns.. I just don't know where to buy steel anymore, The last time I worked in a weld shop was 1994.. so I am kind out of the loop!!
if anyone has a good supplier or works for one, please pm me... I will be buying quite a bit of material from whoever has fair prices , I've dropped over 2K at everett steel in the past 2 weeks and I don't like it in the ass:wtf: I'll take my business elsewhere...

During the summer I bought 7 sticks of 1 1/2in dom and 7 of 1 1/2in HREW at EMJ. They were really easy to deal with and I believe that they deliver for free or cheap. Dom was 2.82 a foot and the HREW was 1.77 a foot. But I realize that was with quite a bit of tube. Give them a call and see what they want.
