So since i am claiming insurance on all my stolen tools and such i decided i would be kinda sneaky and use $600 and get some gears and lockers. I orders a complete recovery kit today from 4 wheel parts along with new steering stabilizer.

no 4.88's for both damn glad i didnt order that yet thank you for catching that i would have been really unhappy bout that one. I am doing 4.88's front and back a trac loc in the front and a rear spool

On your list it says Powertrax Lockright... that's not a trac-lock, FYI.

Also, you're going to need a setup kit for both axles with bearings, shims and such... also, I don't see the D60 spool on your list, unless you already have it. Also, why the 1350 yoke for the D60?

IMO, if you have a cover already for the D60 and your current driveline works... I would skip the "inspection cover" and the "1350 yoke", and add in the master install kits for both axles, a R&P for the rear, and a spool for the rear (if you don't have it already).

Next up... who's going to do the gear setup? Better figure that into the price too... for either of those axles, I would charge a person about $150 apiece if they brought me ALL the parts and the stripped down housing with the stock carrier still installed. Lots of places will charge more...

Sneeeky... you just posted it for the world to see!:flipoff:

I will advise NOT to spool the rear unless you never drive on pavement, or like broken D60 parts.
Just drop a 'Troit in it or a lock-rite.
Or better still pick up a 14-Bolt 'Troit that and sell that Ford 60 to someone for $500!
14-bolts are all but free, gears cost the same, Troits are dirt and you end up stronger.

Justsomeonewho's BTDT.

lol my insurance guy said i could go ahead do that it didn't matter really what i end up spending it on i guess. I just said that dont know why really.

Thought you had a 60 rear end... if so, these three items won't work. Also, you might want to verify that your rear axle is really a 60 and not a 61 before you order (if it is indeed a Dana and not a 14 bolt), because some of the gears won't work in a 61. Check Pirate4x4.com's tech section for the Dana 60 info and how to identify which is which.

Well i know i have a dana 60 for sure but those are from my yota that i am building. fullfloater in the rear and a 44 or 60 in the front whatever i can afford i guess
