Can someone please tell me where to get a locking dip stick? I didn't even know they existed.

Summit racing, they have atleast 70 to choose from. The whole dip stick came out, tube and all. Thats why so much oil leaked.

yeah, they look like a air line quick coupling... i am ordering one myself...

I just looked at Summit and the LS1 applications all specifically say will not work with truck motors.

We have had the locking dipsticks blow off when racing. We just take a hose and put a bolt in it that will go down in the dipstick. Hose clamp around the tube and one around the bolt. Hasn't blown off jet and been doing it for many years.

Little time consuming when wanting to check it and you have to carry the dipstick with you, but it works.

Now you're thinking with your dipstick!!! (scottish slang voice) molaugh

Looking closely at my LS2 dipstick there are 2 rubber o-rings that make the handle snap into the tube and a bolt that holds the tube in the engine. The dipstick is not easy to pull. I would think that to hti hard enough to make it pop out you would collapse your cage and the entire buggy and if you do that an oil leak is the least of your issues. Thus, for my LS, I don't think it is a safety concern.
