100% incorrect on most accounts.
I had the old heated/cryo'd bronze bushed 806's that bobby put out for a while. they performed well and still do. Ben still runs stock ass 806's and factory inners that are gouged 1/4" deep from yoke contact and still hasn't broken them, hardcore. heath bought longfield 300M's, but never installed them. Like with anything, they are high ass maintenance. it just so happens that they are higher maintenance than about anything else on the rig. I was going to buy them when bobby raised his price and jack's went down. it was $100 difference for a SET of either. Used to it was like $100 apiece. that was from machinewave, $480 for ctm's, and like $370 for longs. coulndn't justify not having bronze in there for a hundo. plus, after talking to the guy at machinewave, and seeing the threads on pirate about the galling, just couldn't make myself buy the longs. If you like to maintain as much as you like to wheel and have time/patience for it, I say go with the longs. you shouldn't ever break either, its the shaft that goes first.
