Seriously looking for a new job. Been working all the career sites for months and I'm not having much luck. At this point, I'd do just about anything to get out of the job I'm currently in. Does not have to be in my field (accounting). I'm very easily trained and willing to work hard. Experience in welding, fabrication, digging ditches, scooping poop, etc........

For professional jobs, I have attached my resume'

If you're wanting a career change, Thompson Tractor is hiring at several of their stores. Go to Thompson Tractor. Com one word no caps and they should have the different jobs listed.

Thompson is hiring at multiple locations where are you located ill help keep you in the loop which locations are hiring what

I did see where there were some positions in the Tarrant office. That's the closest to me.

Know anything about the On-Highway Truck PSSR or Lift Truck sales trainee?

yes I am a field service tech for them out of Tuscaloosa, the on highway truck pssr is in a quick way to sum it up a on road truck sales man. you will see trucks to multiple customers while managing any issues they have. help lining up work and service. lift truck sales trainee kinda same thing but with lift trucks aka forklifts. they do require some knowledge on the machines but considering some of the people they bring in it is not required mainly have to have great customer relations and good at managing your customers. before they will really talk to you you have to pass the tests to have a chance. the testing are simple but for some reason 90% of people fail them because they are timed. I found them to be pretty much common sense stuff but that's just me. you might want to call Tarrant and check but they were testing every Tuesday and Thursday at 7:30 am if I remember correctly. from your resume' looks like you would be able to be a pssr pssr stands for product support and sales representative. if I was you I would call down to Tarrant find out about the testing and send in your resume' ill see what else I can find out on those 2 jobs just not my branch but I have some contacts I can check with

Thanks for the information. Prior to getting my degree, I worked in retail for almost 10 years. Then add in all the customer service here (which should count double because of how difficult it's been ). I have no trouble dealing with people. I've just gotten tired of all the backstabbing, race play and political bs here...................

I understand that lol there is some here but not as bad as most places. main thing the PSSR's forget is the tech that's doing the work is the one who is making you the dern money. stay in good with the tech's they'll take care of you lol I should be able to have you some more info by tomorrow

Another thing with Thompson, is once your in, you can apply for any job that comes up on the board. They will try to hire from within before going outside. I've been with them going on 10 years now, like shelb said, there is some of the same mess you mentioned above but not a whole lot. Not many colored people work at Thompson, so really none of the race bs. PSSR are usually techs who have decided to get out of the field or newbie's hired in to a district that nobody will take. Part of pay is based on sales and a bad district will hurt pay. My PSSR is a $ss but I don't have to deal with him much. Any sales jobs are like the PSSR and are district based and therefore pay based on sales. I don't think a non-technical job is required to take all three test for employment, but they are all easy(stupid more like it), but as was stated, about 90% of the people who take them the first time fell them.

Well I applied so we'll see. I know all jobs have their BS but typically it isn't every day, all day like it is here. I'm just ready for a change.

I've heard that too, Kel. I think they have some crazy schedules or are on call sometimes though. I know a couple also that are rarely home.

Have you gone into Louis Allis right there at the Hayden exit? My sister in law was the accountant and has switched jobs. Not sure if they filled it yet.
