Just throwing this out there, as it could be beneficial to some looking for badass luxury lodging near AOP instead of shitty hotels/camping. I just learned of this place and apparently it is only like 10-15 minutes from Kimball, TN, which is pretty much where AOP is and only 30 minutes from Chattanooga.

I plan on staying in one of these cabins some time in the near future as just a quick weekend getaway. Every year, we have a group of 10-12 friends that get together and rent a huge cabin in Gatlinburg. Gatlinburg definitely has bigger, nicer cabins than these, but as far as just a handful of friends, family, or couples getting away for the weekend, these cabins would be great. Hard to beat a nice cabin with a hot tub on the back deck overlooking the river from way up in the sky like that for $100-150 a night. Hell most hotels cost that nowadays.

Best part about it for me is that it's only about 45 minutes from my house, and Gatlinburg is 4 hours! So I'm super excited about finding this place. Makes a weekend getaway that much easier being that close to home and in an easily affordable price range. Buy food and beer for the weekend, cook and eat like a king, drank good brews in the hot tub, kick back, relax, and enjoy the views and surroundings.....my kind of getaway.

Wonder if they have parking if pulling a trailer?

Everybody feels differently about it but generally we almost always leave the trailer and rigs in the park when we go riding. Most hotel, cabins or such don't have good parking for 30 ft trailer.

This. Me too. Got boxed in at a hotel in Auburn for the last Rockfest, I just rather leave my **** near people's camp that I know good.

As for drinking and driving back, you have a point but some folks don't drink like I/we do. Also, it'd be kinda nice if someone wanted to make a week's vacation out of it and stay a few week days at one of these cabins and then wheel/camp at AOP for the weekend. Or do absolutely nothing wheeling related and just go stay in one of these cabins! But yes, they are the ones on top of the mtn in Bryant.

Had a Facebook friend stay in one this past weekend and asked her about them. Just passing on the knowledge, since I was excited to learn of the cabins. :dblthumb:

Make Pocahontas drive your ass back after the trail :dblthumb:

My wife and I stayed in one of these on our anniversary a couple of years ago, awesome view and a nice place. Back then he only had two cabins on the mountain and it was a narrow winding road to get to them, not a lot of room for a trailer. Looks like he has added several more cabins since so there may be parking now. I remember saying to myself on the way in that I wouldn't want to pull a trailer in here and that was on the 2 lane paved road.

I think the cabins are grouped in different places. One looked like it was in a field with a pond behind it or something. I noticed somewhere on the site, that it said 4x4 is recommended during inclement weather due to the steep grade of some of the driveways, so I would assume there is no room for a big ass trailer at any of these cabins. Even if there was, I'd probably still leave my **** at AOP if I was staying at one of the cabins and trying to get some wheeling done.
