Please stop trying to be a metal band, you have not been able to do it for years. :gtfo:

All Nightmare Long was must on XM, god awfull.

My take is the Stones have been around for ever, have a cult following and die hard fans (hate the stones too). Metallica HAD die hard fans and if there are any around still, most will not admit it, I know I wouldn't.

I respect the fact they are doing what they want. All good, they are gown ups. The lyrics are awful, the drums are dismal and lack any of Hammets guitar really. Not to mention James has never had a singing voice, but a yelling/screaming/groan of vocals.

Just not selling for me and I thought Load and Re-load were the end and it keeps getting worse.

Agreed with everything above. Really, when they had the hissy fit over Napster I stopped listening to them. Not that I think they were necessarily wrong about the whole thing, but the way that Lars acted like a kicking screaming little baby suing his own fans and **** just pissed me off so bad that I never wanted to listen to them again. Now I switch the station whenever Metallica comes on.

And don't even get me started on the trainwreck Megadeth comeback.

I have some friends that love them. I mean go all over to watch them play love them. I have never seen them and like some of their songs but not enough to care much. I think that people that like them, really like them and the others don't really care

Went through my Metallica phase in 1992. It lasted a couple of months, I still like to turn it up to there older stuff. My favorite rocker is Kid rok, just like the hell out of the guy.

judas kiss on the new one is pretty okay. other than that, 2 other listenable songs on the album.
No, there new stuff isn't good. good is relative. Listen to their old stuff and then this and forget it. its ****. alone, I can give about every 10th song a listen.
Just burned off a bunch of the first 4 cd's and love the **** out of it every time since high school

I hate cyanide. When the album dropped they played the worst song on it on hot rotation every day (~15 plays per day) on our local rock station.
****ing the day that never comes. I wanted to off myself when it came on.

**** Tool. Whenever they come on your know the song won't end for 15 mins and then when it does they'll have to go to commercials for another 10 mins. Radio stations kill me because when they play tool I know not to switch back to that station for 30 mins.

I just cancelled XM and have yet to miss paying for commercials and DJ's. I will listen to my Ipod, pandora, through my cable company box, CD's. **** radio in the a-hole. molaugh
