Anyone have much experience with one of these style torch sets? A torch would really come in handy for my current projects but my garage space is limitted and until I get my own place I'm thinking one of these will be the ticket.

I'm curious how long a tank would last? Anyone use one? I did a little bit of HVAC work in college and the service tech's all had them in their vans, but they used them for sweating copper.

just lookin for some feedback...

I have a similar setup for service work and longer wheeling trips and they work just like the larger ones. Biggest issue is the oxy goes real fast when cutting.

just out of curiousity anyone have a recent number on what the full-size bottles of oxy and acctylene or going for? I know some people have owned tanks, and others do the 'rental'...

Buddie has one and I've used it on lots of stuff. Works great 'cept for the tanks go quick. $35 at the local shop for bottle swap.

dont buy it for your shop, it uses oxy and fuel quickly. I have fullsize tanks at the shop and bought one of these almost new off C.L. for $120. it works great and is great for camping and wheeling and service work as a second torch. if using it as a primary torch you will find it is usually out of oxy. if you dont fab much maybe, but I have done work in the feild and ran out a full oxy before the job was done. I end up loading up my bigger set usually unless its something small.:booo:
