A lot of you guys know Mike McClure, well, he has teamed up with my friend Carl Mcintyre to make Bent and Twisted 4x4 in Harrison AR. These guys are hosting the first MOROC race of the season in March.

Here is the info.

Date: Fri, 1 Feb 2008 01:23:24 -0600

MOROC- Extreme Off Road Racing

Just another reminder that the first event of the season is March 8-9 in Harrison, Arkansas.

EVENT FLIER: http://www.moroc-us.com/Harrison_Event_08.html

PRE-EVENT PICTURES: http://rides.webshots.com/album/561712421Bpsefl?vhost=rides

If your planning on attending as a spectator and want to buy tickets early call Bent & Twisted 4X4. (Phone # on the flier) They went on sale TODAY! $10.00 per person, Newborns get in free.

Teams, it's not required to pre-register, but it is strongly encouraged. A couple days ago, I crossed over the 30 mark. 30 teams have said they'd be there! Stock and Modified classes are small, but the super-modified and Unlimited "Buggy" class have 9 teams or better in each.
Don't forget the purse and Sponsored money. Bent & Twisted 4X4 is giving all four first place winners an additional $400 plus 50% of the purse. Second place teams win a high lift jack complimentary of Oreilly's Auto parts and 30% of the purse. Finally teams winning 3rd place win 20% of the purse.

Teams, please try to make the friday tech in and meet and greet. Classic Rock station, KCWD 96.1, will be doing live interviews with the judges, teams, and others to promote the sport and the weekends activities.

Additional Media coverage as of current:
4X4 Builder Magazine will be there
Media Werks will be there filming for the 2008 dvd collection and doing the event announcing and DJing.

I hope you can make it!

OK, Rob.....you are ditching the Cruiser buggy?

You are doing a SAS on a V6 mini truck, is that right?

Are you running all of the MOROC events?

I told Mike this AM he should contact you to film the event, hell I did not know you were playing...that is way cool. I was going to go up and watch with Carl, but the fabulous redhead I married won us a free trip to Paya del Carmen Mexico loller.gif

Hah I don't know Carl, but Mike contacted me a while back.. If I'm there, my brother will be filmin...I have been talkin with Nathan about the events tryin to figure out how my rig will fit in the classes... yep ditchin the landcruiser buggy. Two-hundred dollaring me to death, and in the end it'll still only be a yota drivetrain truck frame with cool tube....

Picked up this 3rd gen truck for cheep from a friend in mint shape minus the front clip, tossing my drivetrain on it and going... It's 22RE truck for now.. If my 4.3 doesnt sell I may put it in there but there's no set plan.. some dude in NE is interested in buying my motor/harness/headers/tcase adapter for $2k if he comes thru that V6 is gone... I'm gonna be runnin stock diffs, bobby's, 2.28 stack'd with a 4.7 case. Pickin up 36X13.5 IROK's tonight near new for $750 with wheels, toss on some GLO DIY beadlocks and I'm set....

I'd love to do XRRA but there's no way until I move up in the world that I can afford it... I'm in my first job outta school so altho it's good money(to me) it's not good enough to have a blingin' buggy.

There's more MOROC events ya outta hit em up :drinkers:

Selling it to you thumb.gif laughing

X2 :flipoff1:

Sellin' it... I don't even know what something like that would be worth. It's just a carcass. How much did ya get for the orange yote?

Alot of the bars are tack'd in I'd break tacks bevel edges and so there is better penetration on the weld itself. Or just weld as is.... come awn u know you want it dunno

I wanted the end product but I need somethin to get out and play with... a year and a half without something has been driving me up the fawking wall---especially getting out and shooting video of all this stuff.

Yours setup for V6/8 auto and toy case(s) right?

Sold mine with no axles, suspension, tcases.

Title, cage, lights, motor, trans, doors, seats, harnesses, bed and a box of **** for $1200 to my buddy Tim. It's around here somewhere.

Man that chick's hot laughing

( Im joking, she's cute all pimped out on the trailer it just made me laugh )

I was looking at doing this series the other day because they have a class that I could compete in. The events in Harrison and Hannibal are just to far away. Might try to make an event at SuperLift ORV, if my cage would pass inspection. I don't know how serious they are with the rules, based on what I read mine would not pass.

MOROC looks awesome, Grassroots version of XRRA. If I still lived in Kansas I would go the MOROC route and not the XRRA. Too late though I stepped up with the big boys, not its time to get my learn on in the pro's.

I did hear some dribble about a TexRoc's series in '09. Anyone else hear that? Like to know if its B.S. or not.

BTW this is my comp rig laughing don't laugh too hard... full-bodied class...

finally pulled it into the shop today gonna torch the susp. out tomarrow night and doubler + axle should be in by the time I leave on Wed. night... **GOAL IS** that we will be able to go wheelin' locally this weekend sans shocks to test err out. Final parts being picked up tomarrow and comin in UPS on Tues. Luckily my axle and steering is all put together... along with the doubler.. will be a few bolts to get that bitch up and going...

Heard it else where and dismissed it, then heard it again on your site and was like, ok, maybe true.

Whats the scoop on the '40-47 Chevy Panel behind the 'yota?
