Got bike fever again this time im leanin Towards a motard of sorts. Anybody have any experience in these things? Not sure yet if i want to build one or just go ahead and by one already built and play with it.

I've rode a ktm 525 exc with 6 speed mxc tranny on the rd setup for mortard, awsome, feels illegal as **** riding a dirt bike around but the power to weight and braking is sweet on the rd. very fun bikes if your not riding far and just wanna have fun

Had a couple.

KTM Duke and a Husky 610, both were great, but the Husky without question smoked the KTM. Better suspension, more booyang, felt lighter and had 6th gear and very little vibrations.

I had an KTM 525 that I put 12,000 miles on in a little over a year, I highly recommend one. They are as light as anything else and have tons of power. You could be going down the road at 60mph and pull a wheelie. Like Rockwells607 said it feels illegal as **** but man what fun. Race bike for the street! I hooked up with an enduro club here and we would go on 200 mile back road rides. Here is a quick video I made on mine.

KTM 525 EXC Wheelies

ya agreed, with the 6speed you could wheelie any gear, we ride on the ice up here in the winter in NY and after 1500 studs in a rear tire you can wheelie and throw ice 80ft with that 525, i dont know how licensing things are down there but up here ktm is the only one with an open title so its easy to rd legalize it, i have seen honda 450 motards here on the rd but they gotta jump through hoops at the dmv to make it legal...just food for thought when your looking to buy...anything you get with some power is gonna be fun though, they are so light and most motards have huge double rotor and caliper setups on the front, stoppies are so easy and fun....just a riot to ride

I've got an 06 Husqvarna SM610 I am thinking of selling pm me or text for details and I can send you some pics if you are interested. It's a really nice clean bike but I am thinking I want to do some dual sport touring on a bmw... Ask anyone that's in the know about the SM610 they are bad ass.
