Call Matt Mortenson w/ MRP Racing Development @ 253-219-6323, he is in Spanaway near Bethel Highschool.:awesomework: Tell him Ricky Chacon refferred you

They're no different than doing a bicycle wheel, my dad laced the ones on his himself from a bare hub, rim and spokes and i can verify that they're good to at least the 60 or so that it'll do. It's just tedious as hell. I'm not that good at it because i'm way too damn impatient.

I'm think i'm gonna give it a shot, someone asked if it had a rim lock on it and that maybe that was throwing it off balance, and to get some tape weights for the opposite side of the rim...:eeek:

(I haven't even thrown it up on a stand and spun the rim to see if either is the case yet:booo:)

even with a rim lock you can get it to spin true if the spokes are tightened properly lol who told you that?

ADVrider inmate.

I mean, it makes sense for overall balancing going down the road, if you had knocked a weight of a truck rim it'd bounce funny, or i've had ice packed into the rim and had it shake really bad before.

But ya, for just the TRUEness of the rim it doesnt matter, I was saying for strictly a weight off-balance issue, IF that's what it is...

I suspect the rim isnt true. :eeek:

Does the wheel seem to "hop" as yer riding? Rim may have a flat spot from previous owner hitting a curb or big rock. You could spin the wheel with it still on the bike and see a flat spot easy enough also check for localized loose spokes...ie. spokes loose all in one area would be a symptom of a flat spot.Flat spots can be pounded back out and the wheel retentioned pretty easy.

Ya, it was hopping, at about 35-40mph, it sorta smoothed out above that but still shook, i didnt want to test my luck.:redneck:

I think thats the problem man, there is a pretty good dent in the rim and if i recall just casually checking the spokes there are a few looses ones in an area, but i dont remember if they were around the dent!

so i think it might need a new rim.... it's pretty well wacked out of shape, plus the dent it has in it, it bobs up and done and side to side a good bit, that's what was my bouncing on the road for sure!
