So the adapter for the TH350/D300 basically just uses a stock tranny mount type setup for GM...

This pretty much leaves the ol D300 hangin off the back of the adapter with no support.

Does anyone make nifty mounts like the RoarK's for the Atlas or anything like that for D300's ?

I dont want to have the broke case syndrome in my buggy and the case in mine is already in need of repair on one of the bolt holes for the adapter... :-\

Oh yea... in case any one gives a crap, just talked to Keith and my Tcase should be ready for pick up this afternoon on my way home from work thumb.gif laughing 1350 / Big shaft / twin sticked and the 4.1 gear set that dollar and I installed looked over and made sure it was done to spec.. loller.gif

Well everything has poly bushings at the point where they mount to the frame.

What you have done is somewhat along the lines of the idea I had in mind for mine. My engine is mounted of poly's like that so I figured Id give it a shot...

P's answering service has a message for you, your case will not be ready today you are missing some internal parts that Bailey had to order, should be ready tommorrow. You might want to give him your cell next time you are in :flipoff1:

Missing the lil shifter rail pads.... Just hollar'd at him. He's out of them at the moment, common wear item **** you had me nervous for a minute Matt laughing

P I made a horseshoe looking bracket that monted to the 300 output housing bolts on the case and then below the case made a 90* bend and used the same
GN poly mount that the trans uses. I will check to see if I have a pic of it. found one. Not a good one however.

Thanks for the pic, Im thinking Im going to poly mount it with bushings at the chassis so its set up in the same manner as the engine... Ill have to live and learn on it and see how it works out.

Joes buggy has a stock mount, then the Roark Atlas mount and he hasnt blown it apart ... I mounted the engine in his the same as I did in mine. Im just not down with the Tcase hangin off the back of the tranny mount, no way that will work for me. laughing

Yeah, I've seen too many broken trannys where the tcase bolts up is why I did mine the way I did. I am going to Cut the bracket on the short side so I will only have 3 of the 4 bolts on the back plate so I dont have to fight holding the plate while putting the bracket on. I think it should work.

Im going to go on and use the factory poly mount on the bottom of the adapter, that will hold everything "up" and then the bushings will keep the twist to a min. Everything will be able to move a lil with the poly's on the engine and tcase so its not a rigid mount , but adding the polys and the tranny plate will make it firm enough out back "IMO" to keep it all in check.

like I said, thats how Im lookin at it and what Im going to run Ill be the first to know if it doesnt work out like I hope... laughing
