Mounting aluminum fuel cell

Hello all;

I built a new fuel cell out of 1/8" aluminum and now I'm wondering how I could mount it to the chassis. I noticed a lot of the bouncers have drilled and tapped round aluminum stock on the side of their fuel cells. I'm worried that with the flexing of the aluminum they will eventually crack, am I missing anything or just overthinking it? I'm actually thinking of building a steel cradle, but I would rather not do that. I've got welded aluminum supports inside the cell tying the sides to the bottom. I was wondering if I could get some opinions if four 2" OD round pieces welded on two opposing sides are strong enough. The cell must come out of the bottom of the chassis.

Thanks.

I have four of the aluminum pucks welded to mine. And a rubber washer sandwiched between the mount and the chassis tab. No problems.

I made some just like JohnG posted and welded them on my tank. I know have the whole drilled out to 1/2 with locktite in them and the bolts just snugged up using 3/8 bolts. This is has worked for me but at first it cracked my tank with a 3/8 bolt and whole.
