as some might no i am in the process of a SAS. im wondering just how far i can move the hanger forward without moving the steering box forward.. from what i read it looks like i can move it about 1 -1 1/2 inches forward ,,,,, but then i just read somewhere that you cant move it forward at all without moving the steering box.

Depends on what steering arms you got and what springs etc.

need more info. and even then its hard to know until you mock it up. Tack welds are your friends and so are decent shackle angles.

what hanger are you using? location of this determines everything.
mine was homemade and the steering was alright, but when i went to hy-steer kit i had to move it. under suspension flex the links would hit and catch.
trail gear sells the box mount kit for $39. if your doing all this work now you might as well move it so you dont have to later(like i did) just my .02 save you some headaches
