Took the heep to AOP yesterday & had a heck of a day: Lost all brakes, lost steering, broke a shock, bent an upper link up front, & spit out a coil spring that caused the jeep to fall onto the fender breaking the header panel, grill, headlight bucket, etc.... But, I say all this so I can point out how awesome Tom, the park owner, was to us...

He brought us parts & tools not just once, but twice out to the roughest part of the park & never complained or ribbed us even once... He also helped us get my rig back to camp and onto the trailer all while insisting we drink his beers & have a good time...

Thank you Tom! & anyone who has been on the fence about checking out AOP, y'all need to go!!! Some of the trails are still a little green, but there are a lot of trails that are top notch.... Free range rocks like Hale, a course like Hawk's Pride, & nice clean paths around the park like Stoney.... We will be going back :****:

Good to know! It is on my list of parks to hit in the VERY near future. Let me know when you will be going back and maybe me and a few will meet you there. I will definitely be checking AOP out. b

Can't beat that level of service. I can't wait to go back when it's dry.

I could not believe how extreme some of the lines in the rock gardens were... The black trails are stout, I couldn't imagine how tough it'd be muddy...

Pic?

AOP is the only park that has rock crawling like GMP in my opinion. That coupled with Tom's hospitality and overall coolness, its a hard place to beat. Cant tell you how
many stories I've heard of Tom helping folks out of a jam. He even loaned Strokeryota his JK....and we all know how much of an ass he is! :flipoff1:

I'm glad you gave us an opinion on AOP. I personally was not sure it would be a fun park to travel to because all the "hype" I figured the "hype" was just that from all the bouncers trying to rep the park. After reading your post I will make a trip up there. Thank you. Oh and fix your junk you trail tampon! :stir:

:woot: :woot:

Sorry we didn't get to talk, it was a bit of an ordeal going on with our group. Hate that you broke so much but that's half the fun. I got lucky and only my wife's seat broke but they are junk and need replaced anyway. Tom has helped me out in the past too. Last time my little brother came out he busted his rear shaft and yoke and I had to tow his home and Tom keep and eye out on mine and insisted I ride the next day with him, no charge. Plus the man remembers everybody. I hadn't seen him in over a year and I'm not exactly a regular and he called me by name as soon as I walked up. Didn't get to hit many trails this time since ours was a memorial ride but there are some nasty ones and when it's wet the easy trails can get rough.

Tom and his Park are both top-notch!!!! You couldn't ask for a better person. I have Windrock in my back door but I choose to go to AOP .

I went once when it was muddy. Reminded me of GMP muddy lol, gotta get your mind right!

Thanks for the report! Sorry for your luck.

I've never been, and have been waiting on a RIDE, and not a race to go... Hardline or SOMEONE needs a ride... I have no interest is attending a race there.
