I was gonna start a build thread a while back, but really didn't think it would be that interesting. Now after a year long project it's finally bout done. Got to build a bracket for the detent cable and she's done.
Mods and changes:
1986 Ford F150 XLT 4x4
Complete restoration frame up.
New trans AOD :gay:(that's were our main hicups have been, hopefully tommorow will finish this issue)
4.10 gears and posi in the rear
Started as a 185horse 1st fuel injection engine__ Now DSS 331 stroker motor 415 horse :woot: :woot:
Full roller with 650 Double pumper, all breathing through 2.5" exhaust
This truck is all power and to most and worth 2 nickels, but to me and my pops it's worth a million in sentimental value. Lot of good memories started back in the day with this ol truck. It turned out great and we love it, hope you guys can appreciate it for what she is. :driving:

Your absolutely right Rod, the early to mid 80's Ford's were not hot items at all. BUT, what you and your dad have done is great in the fact that you and he did it together. I hope to do this my son in the future and post up our project. Sentimental, HELL YES, big show value not so great. Great looking truck and cool mojo too. thumb.gif

Love man! My first truck was an 86 ford - that bitch had a hard life and went through several transmissions and motors. It was a pile of **** when I sold it but damn I would give anything to have it back now - along with a few other trucks form my teen years.

I like it. My truck was almost that nice at one time. Was my first truck and my grandpa and dad helped me fix it up. Worked out good for me cause grandpa at the time owned a paint and body shop and dad had a shop at home. Here is a pick of it after I had it several years and th egas lid sais it all
