Well I just got home from a long ass day of 4 flights (last one delayed an hour) but here it is. I've had pics for quite sometime but didn't want to go super public as not to jinx myself. Everyone knew the parts list I was looking for and this buggy one ups each and every line item I had layed out as "Wants"

2005 Pro Mod Chassis (is like a Twisted Customs (Built by Rich Schmaus, every bit as good as Paule)) 48"s wide
All aluminum 5.3 V8 (out of an Chevy SSR) less than 3k miles as it was a GM test mule.
TH350
Atlas 3.8
Rear Cutting brakes
Master Craft Seats
Walker Evans Wheels and Shocks
37" Trepadors - ( it will fit 39's)
Steering Dana 60's front and rear. HP Ford front, Chevy LP rear 4.88's & Detroits.
4340 AMERICAN made shafts (Superior / Ouverson)
300m Ujoints (Longs / CTMS)
Mt. Logan slugs all the way around.
1" Heim Joints
1 3/4" 7075 Links
Airbumps in the front, back not installed yet
Swaybar in the back
Ron Davis Radiator
Winches front and rear
10 gallon fuel cell
Total weight, approx. 3200lbs

And a metric ton of spares, and extras.

It was built by a guy north of Detroit that works for GM as a Electrical Design Engineer for their Hybrids. Pretty cool ****. He lives right north of the GM Proving Grounds "The Country Club". While we were out and about we saw a ton of prototypes out on the roads. Like a twin turbo V8 Cadillac Sedan, rear tires on it looked 'Vette. He said it had around 510HP. And a bunch of Econoboxs with all the "Cladding" tio hind what they really were.

The plan is to have a guy I know haul it from Michigan to Paola right around Kelly's bachelor party so I can wheel it there as is. Then two weeks later when I'm up for Kelly's wedding haul it back to Texas.
I need to replace the steering pump, and do everything to reinstall the rear steer. Since the buggy got converted to Pro Mod the rear steer axle is locked out with a solid bar. It needs new winch lines. And the 2 piece front shaft is from H.A.D. and the AG slip joint is clanky and loud. I'll prolly get a Tom Woods to clear that up. I'm going to get 40" Creepies, and track down a new set of rings from Walker Evans as these are rashed pretty decent.

Then just a bunch of little touch up stuff, like fully grinding off old brackets from the motor swap as when it was built in '05 it had a 4.3 in it. Then get it all ready for paint and repaint it. And pull all the aluminum and get to polishing it all up. Its a very sano buggy, but it is used and has seen some use. So just all the BS to bring it back to the glory days and add some touches to make it mine.

Also the rear area totally has enough room to add a kids bench. All that would be needed to do that is different muffler (already have the PN#) a custom fuel cell, and rework the upper tube work. I think that will be a good project for about a year to 18 months from now.

Oh yeah before anyone asks about skins. It currently loks like most of the pics with the red stripped d-side skin only. It will have a plexi passenger side for this week. Then the guy gets all of his aluminum skin material from some Amish that build barns. So he's getting me an extra roll already sheered to height so I have a good bit of spare skin material for down the road.

Also Kelly had talked to me about how the radiator doesn't look very protected and its just hanging out there. I didn't take any underhood pics but thats not the case at all. There is a tube that goes right across the top of it and is braced hella stout. It would take one helluva nose over backwards flop to get into it.

Man, that is way nice Wyatt. This just fuels my flame that I have for a buggy. Looks like you got a nice one.

That is one nice ride! Can't imagine having to learn how to drive something with that parts list on it. :drinkers: Sheers buddy, hope to make it down for the unvailing.

Yep, its long over due. But to that note I couldn't have afforded it before either.

Joel, you need to go buggy as well, and Matt is only months away from going buggy I suspect. And Paul is already building a buggy.
I'm going to try to make it Thanksgiving weekend to wheel with you guys in Bama for RickyB's birthday. Just haven't consulted the boss about that yet.....

More like years, gotta get the new house, wife's car and possibly a new tow rig next year in order first. My jeep works good enough for now. Buggy is a long term plan though.

That will be greatly accelerated after this weekend with 3 buggys at Hot Springs I am sure :D

SUPER nice buggy. I can't wait for you too see how well it will work. Awesome rig!

I would keep that rear-steer locked out for a while and learn to drive it and then "graduate" to the rear steer. It is really a good way to end up on your lid if you are not real familiar with the feel of your ride.

Where do you live? Are you one of the AL guys or the KS guys?

Oh and as for Joel, he is too damn cheap to buy a buggy..you know that :D
