Took my TrailBlazer SS to the local 1/8th mile track last night for some fun. I've never ran the thing on a track since buying it over two years ago. The fastest pass of the night was 8.90 @ 82 mph. The other runs were 8.92, 8.94, 8.91 and 8.91. All of them were in the 80 mph range. I think that the numbers are pretty good considering the truck is 100% STOCK with the spare, jack and even a cooler full of Natty ICE in it.

The best part of the night was seeing all the faces of the other drivers when the family truckster smoked dat ass. :flipoff1: Some of the kilss were: SRT-8 Challenger, 3-4 stock 08+ Mustangs, SRT-4 Neon with upgraded turbo, SS Silverado and even a 09 Mustang with a Kenne Bell with 10 pounds of boost. The Mustang with the Kenne Bell was the closest race of the night. :****: It was funny as hell watching all the other guys doing these John Force style burnouts and revving their engines while staging the car and me just sitting at the christmas tree with the traction control on and no burn out. I'll never under stand why people waste the money on a Mustang, sink a **** load more in it and they still don't make any power and end up getting beat by a damn 4 door SUV. :wtflol: You gotta love a LS2 with 4.10 gears!!! :dblthumb:

I will have to say those blazers are bad ass units. I have seen them in person smoke some what I thought was fast cars. :****:

Yeah those are Badass. A buddy of mines wife has one and he tuned it and added a few little things and it will flat haul ass.

Cool rigs, co worker had one and it was sa-weeet. Not much money will make that thing sing too ! :woot:

I want a highway ride and still tow my bikes around. The Vitara does it all and does it well enough. This will be in the next year or two

they're nice if you build the tranny....heard of alot blowin the trans when the motor is messed with....

I think alot of the tranny issues are related to poor tunes for the transmission. I see guys that tune out all of the torque management, increase the line pressures really high and change out the servos and then the tranny goes. The ones that live seem to still retain some of the TQ mang. and have the stock servo in them. Everything has it's limit, but if you keep a little insurance in the build it will buy some time before it lets go. Just my thoughts.

My buddy blew one up... WARRANTY DAT SHIZZLE.. brand new motor fo freeee thanks obama and government motors lol

Oh, she's covered. The drive train is good to go til 2012 or 100,000 miles :dblthumb: Thinking about letting her have 150 RWHP shot of juice. With the extra help she should run out pretty good ;D

Thats what Im thinking also. I have always really liked those TB'ss. Back when I tuned my last truck 08 GMC 5.3 I had him take out 75% of the torque management in the engine and the tranmission. I wanted to leave just a lil bit in there. I have never understood why people wanna max everything out on something you drive everyday because your just asking for trouble. They put the TM in there for a few reasons and those of us that take alot better care of our stuff and maintain it alot better than the ones that dont, we have some room there to tweak on our rides but you still need to use your head about it.... just like leaving a lil TM still in there.

I read awhile back that GM had a way now or was about to have a way to tell if you've messed with the pcm's any. That sucks but you cant blame them. So if you have tuned your ride then tore something up and then tune it back stock and take it back for it to be fixed under warranty they can get in there and see if whatever the problem is may have been caused by something you've changed in the pcm.

I got a 06 GTO a while back with the same LS-2 as your trailblazer and its all stock right now. A lil later when the money is lookin a lil better around here I plan on doing a few small things too it but I still wanna keep it mostly stock and keep the look stock too. thats one thing I really like about the car and the trailblazer ss they dont jump out and just make alot of attention with there looks......its just a simple and clean look thats perfect and most people dont expect anything from them! Oh yea is your ss 2wd or awd?

Since when?

Not exactly sure but the GM TECH 2 scanners we have show the history of all the modules in the vehicle. ECM PCM all that good stuff. It shows when it was programmed what was done and what kind of scanner did it.
