my trip to the rocks this weekend.

So i took a rig ive been working on for a little over a month now up to naches this weekend. The trijp was intended to be kinda its maiden voyage but mostly we just wanted to bring the rc crawlers up to play. The trip started out perfect no girl freinds just the god ole boys. Saturday morning we woke up and hit the bottle right a way then took off to the rocks around 9 or so. We made it all the way up their and i was just wheeling around a little and the jeep was doing awesome. I was very impressed. We got bored their so we went to the other rocks. right when we got to the other rocks i decided to try a little harder lines. I got on the first line and it did great. Then i went to do the ext one and all hell broke loose. First the three inch lift blocks spit out the back wrapping my pinion streight up. Then my drive line binds up and snaps all four of my u joint straps and bolts. So i patched it all back together with what parts i had just for it to happen again right off the bat. So i took the rear d line off and tried to turn around on jst the front and then right a way all the bolts broke on those u joint straps. So i got towed all the way back to camp drove home got parts drove back up fixed it and came home today. To say the least i need new yokes with streight through u joint straps so this doesnt happen again. i will post pics soon

not really it didnt brake anything else and i fixed it all i replaced all the straps and bolts but the way the front gave way so easy it made me wonder so i called a couple freinds that ran simaler set ups and they had all changed their yokes for that same reasont the 5/16 bolts are weak sauce.

Ditch the 3 inch lift blocks. They will always be a problem waiting to happen.

In most cases i wouldnt use a lift block in any wheeler but its a cherokee and i love these stock springs what sprigs should i go with if i were to change. Im new to the xj world and dont know who makes good lift sprigs for them.
