so, i am about to order my rear diffy from trail gear. i am assuming that the v6 third is stronger that the 4cyl 3rd, but will bolt right in to my rear axle. is this correct? the truck is an 86 pickup.

Don't do it. That's my advice. If you ever meet Geiger you'll understand.

Yes, either diff will bolt up. Might have to clearance the rear cover with a BFH.

x2 not only because of geiger but the price of buying a complete 3rd is nuts. better off buying what you want off pirate because vendors have bidding wars:clappy: then have some local off the board set it up at a fair price

Good advice Gavin. You never came by after the hangover run ya bastid

it would be in your best interest to extend those shafts. square tube up front, and professionally lengthened shaft in the rear is a good plan.

my buddy has somewhere around 4-5 inches of lift and his rear d-line is out of a 89 standard cab short bed and its in a 81 long bed but hes only pulled his front d-line apart gettin yanked out

OK quick advice

Use her overly large thong panties as a turnicate before you chew off your arm, this will help stop the bleeding so as to leave less of a trail for her to follow.

Taylor when do u start getting parts? I can't wait to see thet start of that thing its gonna be fricken badass

i called trail gear today, and they said that my parts should arrive either monday or tuesday, so i should have them by wednesday or thursday, if this order is anything like other deliveries i have gotten. saturday i am going to pick up my tires, cage, and front 3rd member. i will be dropping the truck off in arlington on thursday.

I've dealt with Chris before and never got that kind of impression. IMO Trail Gear is a good company and I have no problem giving them my business.
Then I won't even go into his involvement with Marlin almost having his business stolen out from under him.

I can't tell if you're trying to be cynical or sarcastic, or you really don't know...

I know I've read all the interweb rhetoric. I've read both sides to the story and tend to believe what Geiger is saying but my siding that way doesn't mean it's gospel. The fact is I wasn't there and don't really know what happened just like most. I just get tired of people bashing him based on web facts.
