I am currently making a transformation to the old Samurai. All toyota running gear with the zuk frame and body. by my half ass numbers i think it can happen with a electric cooling fan, my only concern is the distance excluding the angle from transfer case to rear end is about16-17 inches. Has any one attempted this before. Motor mounts and crossmebers can be fab.ed but the little ass zuk body is limiting me . Any help would be appreciated.

a old friend of mine did it. He has twin toyota transfercases and a cv driveline. His driveline is id guess between 15 and 18 inches long. He hasnt had any problems with it . He is using and electric fan and it cools great.

My roomate did it in his sami, cut the core support out, ran external hood latches (modified tj latches), built a new trans tunnel, motor mounts, trans crossmember, toy crossover high steer, and yj springs. the 22re fits with a toy rad and the factory fan. If you take your time, it can be done and all fit and work, the rear driveline does need to be of a double cardan type though

I've done a few. I use a tracker fan outside the rad works good I had a 17" rear shaft and it was fine, also you could get a L-52 and get 5 more inchs of rear shaft
