Long story short, my old laptops hard drive crapped out. Just got a new laptop and for one it sux b/c it just aint the same with windows 8. On to the problem.
I had to d/l iTunes to keep up with my music. Only problem is I have alooot of stuff that was not purchased from iTunes. When I hook my phone up and try to sync it says delete all my music and replace with the 65 songs that were purchased. NOOO

How do I get 1300 songs from the phone to the iTunes library?

No backup on the old computer? So, you don't have a copy of the 1300 songs anywhere except the phone?

I can't exactly explain it but you have to turn on the manual manage files, unhide hidden folders and you can back feed (I know wrong terminology) music from the phone to the computer but it does not bring the song name and author with it. It assigns it a iTunes id number (exp. AARE1) nothing that makes sense. I had to recover mine and it sucks having to rename and label a thousand song title and authors. All of this is on youtube and apple help forum.

Hopefully somebody knows of a better way and I can learn something from this also.

Just an after thought now but I keep a thumbdrive now with the MP3 files on it just for this reason.

edit:
only place I have music now is the iPhone and on an ipod

my only back up was on the laptop that crashed. I tried the cd rom reboot disk but couldn't get the thing to load windows. after some menus on startup it was saying harddrive failure so I pull the hard drive and went to best buy to get a new laptop. Apparently you cant get a laptop now days with 2 hard drive slots like my old one. My only hope is to find an external hard drive reader via usb and transfer it that way or pay up for some of theses downloadable programs that rip it from the phone. I've d/l about 4 so far and they all want you to buy before it will work.

labeling 1300 songs ..... they fee for the apps is sounding good :****:

I went through the same thing about two years ago and at the time, the only available software I could find would only transfer a limited amount of files per session or some crap. I lost around 1000 songs because I was tired of screwing with it. Another reason why I hate iTunes.
