Ok guys, i have a cj5 frame with centered rear d44 and d30 front. I want to swap in my full size jeep cherokee widetrack axles into it. would it be easier to outboard the front springs to match that of the full front? i guess what im having a hard time figuring out is that if i put my full front under im going to have to recenter the purches to match the 29" spring width and the front is at 34 1/4" (outside to outside measurements) that means to move the spring purches in 5" im going to have to do each side of the spring purch 2.5" in, that will put my diff side almost directly ontop of my diff(which wont work for my drive shaft)...any suggestions?

Although i still would appreciate any suggestions i figured out what i need to do to outboard the fronts

Another option is to shorten the long side by 5" and keep the short side perch where it is. You won't have full-width, but it'll still be a lot wider than your narrow-track CJ width. I almost went this route a while back, but went full-width D60 instead.

Mikey, thanks i want to stay full width all the way so i will outboard the fronts, i did the measurements and just mounting the leafs on the outside makes them within a 1/4" of the fsj spring purches.

mounting the front springs outboard(leaves) creates a turning problem. As the tires get bigger the bigger the turning radius gets due to the tires hitting the springs.

cant be any smaller turning radius than the stock fsj, as that will be the width of the axle and the stock fsj spring perch width, i was runing 36x12.50's on it when it was under the jeep and it turned fine... but i see what you are saying if i were going with anything narrower than the widetrack axle it would be a concern.
