The smog crap was removed from the exhaust manifold. But while driving, it blew out the top plug dealy on the manifold.

Any Ideas or does anyone have one of these plugs?

is it like a freeze plug? does it have threads?

post a picture what it looks like or at least the hole that needs blocking off.

maybe a freeze plug and JB weld?

i bet it just a plain pipe thread or tube thread which uses the same thread pitch so a pipe plug should work. if not bring it over and we can braze the hole closed.

We stuffed some int foil in it and the heat shield holds it in there. We are going to try driving it around this afternoon and see if it holds up. It isn't NPT, the threads are a lot finer than that.

Was it a big aluminum plug?

Let me look, I might still have some from the Weber conversions I use to do.

I just threw some some stuff out, maybe I still have them.

When I get home, I will look around.

You should have asked about a week ago, I know I would have the plugs then.

Do you have a measurement, approx of what the dia. is?

Give me maesurement, and i will see if this is right.

This was the only one I could find, the others got thrown out.
