Alot of guys on here recently finished / purchased buggies. I need motivation to get back on mine and get it tweaked to max performance. Lets see were everybody is at with thier new junk ! :afro:

My list is still pretty long and it will be a fair amount of time until all of it happens ( $$$ )

Fab/labor wise I got this...

Re-do the engine mounts with thicker material ( current ones are severly damaged and engine has dropped in chassis because of it )

Hang the UMHW skids I cut for it before it was done and still havent mounted

Mount rear sway bar / this also goes along with tune shocks and mount rear N2 bumps all of which need to be done together to be efficent as possible IMO.

I need to put somemore weld in my floor pan so its not annoying me ( nothing really to it... )

Gas pedal needs worked on ( cheap ass Summit one being a PITA )

Tcase shifters need a boot ASAP for heat reasons ( hot air in the cab sucks ..)

The things that I want and require $$ are pretty basic...

I need 1 more chromo inner for the front to be right from end to end... ( long side inner is currently stock original equipment )

I really want a different shifter... Art Carr would be nice...

I need some damn Beadlocks..... Stauns have been my intentions all along but I bought a fitty at the time instead laughing1

TIG'd on rock rings for the wheels would be super nice and make them last alot longer... maybe one of these days Ill get to that point and commit to doing it.

Dont get me wrong the buggy goes great and is a blast, but Ill never be "done" with it..... in fact, that would suck and Id have to get rid of it if I didnt have something to change or upgrade molaugh

Cmon newbie buggy owners... were you at !!!

I still have to swap my Stak out for a new one whenever it arrives. The one I have now sometimes pops out of 1:1.
I still need to get Ken to build me a cooler / tool bag rack. Something pimpin like Nolen's.
I am currently putting in a bigger radiator and PS cooler.
Working on re-grooving the 44" TSL's for a little more grip.
After that, I am just going to wheel the sheeot out of it until I decide I want to change something.

Oh hell... I left out the cooler/ tool storage basket , good call Beyer ! I want one of those too. laughing1

Oh yea, I have headlights and Caddi Taillights I want to put on mine too... damn it never does end ! :drinkers:

P you need headlights before Harlan, night runs suck with no lights...

I hope I will stop finding issues with mine and be able to wheel it some more, but it is not really working out like that.

Bad clunk in the front end that came out of nowhere, who fawking knows.

Need to send my pump to PSC so that can swap it out.

Needs airbumps in the front.

Needs to be wheeled.

Ill have headlights pre Harlan no worries there at all... Probably go ahead and put the taillights hung out back as well at a min just to keep from getting rearended. ( plus I think the tall skinny cadi lights look cool )

Gonna pull the engine mounts tonight and bring them into work to plasma the plates off so weldering the new 1/4 thick plates on will be no big to do.

If I can get that knocked out quickly ( should be no problem... ) Then Ill try to wire up the welder and lights are 2 tabs and some wire away... , tac on the floor pan a little more and all those lil odds and ends I woulda finished this weekend had I not decided to go to the beach . laughing1

I want those UMHW skids on it before I wheel again just to keep **** clean and unscathed on the bottom of my chassis. hitit

timely thread, I just updated my list this morning. :afro:

**** I've been too lazy to do:

swap P/S pump
rear limit strap
need a roof
need a windshield
tune the shocks
figure out some bumpstops/mounts
compressor/tank mount for ARB
cooler/junk rack
need some tunes (speakers/amp)
couple of small leaks that I need to find
mount the S-10 headlights/grille

should have most of that done by first of August. loller.gif
also need to do some PM's on the truck/trailer

**** that's long-term (read: not in budget yet)

rear sway bar
new shafts for the front
5:13's for the eaton/60
old man shell on the truck for sleeping in the dry

Oh hell biggy, you start talking truck and trailer and this thread will be one long sum bee ! laughing1

I just sold my paw paw camper shell, tired of lookin at it sitting on my trailer / yard when not in use. Its to damn hot to sleep in those things thumb.gif Nice to cover and secure your "stuff" when you do go for the weekend though, I will miss that aspect.

laughing1 yeah, I got a few things I want to try to keep it cool. Mainly just thinking that I'm always rolling into camp really late/early, and don't want to set-up a tent... I'm LAZY.

sorry to hijack the thread (esp. after the MOD lockdown ) but when are you guys going to Harlan?

I am about half way finished with converting my mog axles to 8 lug and disk brakes. Awaiting some gaskets and seals that are mog items.

I reskinned the buggy with Plastic skins and then unskinned it. The plastic skins actually made it look worse than no skins at all. I guess I am going to just paint the old aluminum skins.

I have built a hood but haven't finished it out.

I installed Impact Racing Seat Harnesses.

I bought some stock hummer wheels have already mounted the 42 Iroks up on them.

As long as the few projects have taken me, I can't imagine undertaking a complete build up.

I also need another 100 HP, but that will have to wait for awhile. I might start looking for a 6.0 deal and start collecting parts (headers, harness, etc.) if I find a good deal. :eat:

About the only thing I need to do is build up some spares,, links axle shafts etc..
thinking about regearing the axles to 5.89s have 4.56s now maybe too low?

Then theres the maintenance. Need to tear down the front end and inspect.
would like to get a rack for junk and some tunes. but thats later..

gonna try to cut down a hood to fit
maybe skin it
tranny temp gauge
replace engine temp gauge
replace brake lines
add rock lights
would like to have a custom fuel tank built
install atlas rear support

my list gets longer every day...

reinstall tranny with new valve body
atlas support ring for sure
check fan relay for radiator, stopped working on the way out of JL in clayton
chamfer UHMW for boatsides, and mount
install amp under the seat and mount speakers
storage basket

test out some more at rock midget state park and make sure everything is A-OK....

Hope to have all my brackets on and chassis welded up this weekend. Then start putting it back together after some paint. I've got almost all my parts. Still need......
Winch
alternator steering pump bracket for 5.3
Sending computer out to be flashed this week
One harness
four hiems
Bat treey
UHMV
and alot of other misc ****.
