Just wanted to tell a little about myself. I live in the bluegrass. Work 2 jobs payed firefighter and work in the family repair business. I've got 3 kids 10,8,and 1. So money is tight. I love to 4 wheel just not much time.
With all that being said. I wanted a toy that was cheap and easy to work on. I found a 82 Toyota somewhat built for 2400. I ran it all last summer and didn't change a thing on it. That way I could see what little things need to be changed to fit me. Right off the bat I found out the cab had to go and some of the cage need attention. So when my shop slowed down a little in February the truck came for surgery. So out came the saws all and metabo. Off the cage came and then the cab. I cut the rear hoop off that go over my head. I made a new out .190 dom and tided it back into what was left of the cage. Weld everything back together and put it on the truck. Then I add a X brace and some gussets. Was going to double my tcase and put air stocks in the back. I have all the part to do it just out of time. That stuff will have to wait till next winter. It's warming up and time start wheelin again.
