ok, after searching for a while for some sort of tow rig, I finally found something I like that was in my price range. I was hoping to stay around 10K, but I picked this thing up for 11K...close enough. It wont get the best gas mileage like a diesel will, but it will still pull my truck without any problems..

tomorrow is going to be spent getting it registared, insured, and cleaned. I am also going to get the oil changed and get it aligned....this truck should serve me very well.... :drinkers:

yea, that decal is sweet.........prolly leave them on there. :flipoff1: truck already has a K&N drop in and a flowmaster exhaust. I will be getting it tuned this week as well, to try and sqeeze a few more ponies and some mileage....

Brian

my buddy has EFI Live, so he will be doing the tuning for me. I have heard lots of good things from W4M, hopefully David can match it.
He tuned the 5.3 in the Z and it runs well.... :spin:

Brian

thank guys....

now I remember why I got rid of the IFS crap in the Z in the first place....... :flipgotcha: spent all evening putting new idler/pitman arm and tie rodends on that bitch....oh well. I knew it needed some TLC when I bought it, still glad I got it....off to the alignment shop tomorrow..

tuning it might have to wait just a little while now...

Brian

8.1 Avalanche, damn! nce you were it the truck out pull the motor and you'll have a killer buggy motor!!
Nice score.

Oh, BTW I feel for ya on the steering maintenance. My 2500HD eats those parts like they are Skittles. I got it down to a science.
You should look into the Cognito Idler Arm Pivot Assembly. It beefs everything up and supports the bottom of your Idler arm. Slows the wear down, and firms up your feel in the wheel.

yea, I have seen that before...not a bad setup. I wonder if I could make something similar? hmmmm

it really wasnt too bad to change that out, definately easier than on a S10....

Brian

Oh you could definately make it. Its pretty simple. But their are 2 Female nuts, or whatever you call them that would be hard as **** to come up with.
I just paid the $230 it was at the time and installed it myself. Made quite a difference for me.

Shoot according to their website the thing has gone down in price.
