Just bought an 07 chevy 1500. The old one blew up on me, but what can you say it had 144,000 and all I had doen was put a radiator, alternator and starter on it. What I am wanting in a brush guard with winch mount. Does anyone know of one that looks good, but not 2 grand?

I always liked the Warn Transformer for Chevy's. Last time I bought one was for a 2000 Z71. I think I paid $450 and put it on myself. I went with the black version and not the chrome.

Ranchhand is a little overkill. I just want a brush guard. I checked on the warn and it is 1200 for the new trucks. Black is definatly the color of choice. My truck is silver and I just had an black bedliner sprayed in and am going to keep everything black.

No they make brushgards not the complete bumper replacements.

Got rid of it. It barely made it to the car lot. At idle it had 0 oil pressure after putting a oil pump and main bearings in it Felt like I was pulling 80 tons when going down a hill. The salesman kept on about how good a truck it is and I just kept on agreeing. You did not want it anyway because the trans was next, it was starting to slip under heavy loads.

I have looked at those to, a little to searious for an mainly on road truck. Owned my last truck 7 years and the most offroad use it got was going to the mud pit with the trailer to get my piece of junk when it broke the ball joints
