Why are all the new trucks about reliable as a :afro: working a 9 to 5? $40,000 to $60,000 for a new 3/4 or 1 ton truck and they all have there problems. I have had a dirty diesel for the last 10 years or more and find it hard to go back to a gasser. With that said who is towing with a new gas truck and what kind of mileage are you getting?

Re: Re: New trucks

Ima stick with my dirty diesel and rebuild/repair as necessary.

That said, how much/what are you towing?

Emissions and MPGs my friend. Liberals and high hopes. :afro: :flipgotcha:

X 1,000,000,000,000

When the EPA cranks down in 2025 there will be no more v8s... It's over, bye bye. How else will every manufacture's entire vehicle line average 53 mpg? Think about it y'all.... This government that we've allowed to run OUR country is slowly killing EVERYTHING we love while we set back and watch :flipgotcha:

Aren't 3/4 and up trucks exempt from fleet averages?
if they are how are working class folks gonna afford them when fuel prices keep climbing higher and higher. I tow with a F250 with a 5.4 not to bad but not a power house wish the 3.73 cogs were a bit taller. I tow a lawn equipment trailer often I and find is more than sufficient for that task also pulled a 240SX and a twenty foot trailer from Pascagoula, Miss averaged 17 mpg running 70 to 80. I cant roll coal but dont pay as much at the pump or have all the other new Power Stroke issues.

I just bought a 2011 gmc 2500HD and it has the 6.0 gas engine and 6 speed trans. Unloaded I am averaging 14, hope to get to hook to the jeep woth it this week and see how it does towing. Im figuring around 10
