hey i just git an 84 toyota and its pretty much stock other than a 3in lift. i was wondering if there was a place i can go to try out the truck that isnt to crazy. some simple trail riding. im pretty new to the whole wheeling scene. i live in mcchord afb, is there anywhere close i can go to? are there certain things i need to do before i even go off-roading as far as paperwork is concerned? thanks

gil

No paper work unless you go on FS land like Evans Creek which is fairly close to you. You just need a FS pass. Any FS station sells them and some retail places as well.
Straddleline OHV park is even closer for you. I am not sure how much it is, but there is a fee to play there and it's geared more to MX, but lots of wheelers go there. Good place to learn more about basic capabilities of your rig. Up further north Reiter has a variety of terrain and where most people on this board call "home." Crash has a periodic "Newbie" run. It would be good for people like you trying to learn basic wheeling concepts, trail etiquette, etc.

Dont forget about Tahuya, its a good place to learn :D

this board dosnt go out there much but others do

Oh yah tahuya is in the Belfair area
