News of an amusement park coming to the shoals...

News just had a segment about a new amusement park coming to the shoals/florence area. 1400 acres. Everyone is tight lipped about it. Company out of TX gonna build a 3 billion dollar park.

Anyone else see this on the news or hear about it? Be nice to have one local. My wife has wanted me to take her to six flags in atlanta but the hell with that. Too many :JRich:
 
Screw six flags take her to cedar point in Ohio. Makes six flags look like a kiddy park.
 
I don't have a specific clue but the company Dreamvision is nothing but the same as Disney on a smaller scale for now. All of the old Disney CEO is who is running the new Dreamvision. If they are considering anything I would have to figure it would be like a small scale disney world themed around their movies. Their first movie full scale animated is scheduled to release this year.



And for what its worth the worse part about six flags is the area around it. The park itself to me is not too :JRich:

Man i hope to GOD they build a rode AROUND the ghetto to get to it if thats where its going to be. But that would be par for the course with the way six flags is.

They keep talking about TVA land. All of that land has been released beside the Marriott and all of that on other side of river also. I figure its got to be one of them two places. If you remember we missed Bass Pro and a water park because they wouldn't let them have part of veteran's park property. So I figure since TVA has released all of that property it is going beside the Marriott in the OTHER ghetto.
 
give it time. it wouldnt surprise me if alot of nice neighborhoods go to **** from everyone moving away from the park if it ends up in their "backyard"

Hell if it's anything like around here, they'd have to pay $20+/hr to get anyone to go to work, otherwise 'er one will just stay on welfare and get pregnant and pop pills and cook meth all day.
 
Well that's one way to put a nail into the coffin of the culture of that damn town.

i'm sure it will be a clusterfuck of stupidity knowing the city councils in the area.

City Council wont ever approve it. Has nothing to do with bringing 180 year old retirees to the area.
