My wife asked me to get news on some injured people from Naches last memorial day. She answered some calls on the CB for help and responded with her medical kit. I will try and relate what details i remember.
First there was an accident by the bridge to the camp grounds. a pickup and car collision. I belive a little girl in the truck was injured a bit and a lady in the car was badly injured, i think she had her feet on the dash and no seat belt. prob lots broken.
wife goes back to camp and as soon as she gets there another call for help on the CB same place. I wnt down with her and there was a girl in the backseat of a car that was in real bad shape. they said she had rolled her toyota truck with no roll cage or seatbelt on that big hill climb on the way to funny rocks ( has 3 trails going up that open area, not sure what its called). my wife checked her and kept her stable until the ambulance came. I helped with the stretcher and loaded all the EMT bags back in the ambualnce so they could get out of there faster.
And just when you thought it couldnt get wilder a little pickup drives up with a guy in the back, fractured leg, ouch. he wouldnt go in the ambulance because of $$ issues i believe so his buddy was going to drive him to yakima in the back of the truck. that couldnt have been pleasant.
I was just reminded to restock our medical kit for this years wheelin which reminded me to ask about these folks.
