My wife asked me to get news on some injured people from Naches last memorial day. She answered some calls on the CB for help and responded with her medical kit. I will try and relate what details i remember.

First there was an accident by the bridge to the camp grounds. a pickup and car collision. I belive a little girl in the truck was injured a bit and a lady in the car was badly injured, i think she had her feet on the dash and no seat belt. prob lots broken.

wife goes back to camp and as soon as she gets there another call for help on the CB same place. I wnt down with her and there was a girl in the backseat of a car that was in real bad shape. they said she had rolled her toyota truck with no roll cage or seatbelt on that big hill climb on the way to funny rocks ( has 3 trails going up that open area, not sure what its called). my wife checked her and kept her stable until the ambulance came. I helped with the stretcher and loaded all the EMT bags back in the ambualnce so they could get out of there faster.

And just when you thought it couldnt get wilder a little pickup drives up with a guy in the back, fractured leg, ouch. he wouldnt go in the ambulance because of $$ issues i believe so his buddy was going to drive him to yakima in the back of the truck. that couldnt have been pleasant.

I was just reminded to restock our medical kit for this years wheelin which reminded me to ask about these folks.

everyone PLEASE use good judgement!
we were up at the rocks at naches when that guy rolled over onto his leg, not a pretty site, then right after going back to camp we drove by the accident by the ravens roost bridge, AGAIN not a pretty site. THEN when you thought it was enough for the day,:a guy around our camp was riding a
yzf-250 dirtbike , lost control( like a superman wheelie) fell and broke his leg.
again make smart choices. HAVE A GOOOD WEEKEND, SEE YA'LL OUT THERE.- steve:hi:

Ah that makes sense, 2 different guys with broken legs. when the guy with the broken leg showed up i heard the ranger mention somethin about having warned the guy about being an ass on his motorcycle but i think this guy was from the funny rocks

yup, two guys, two broken legs, one at the rocks that got transported off the hill in the truck, then one in camp (on little naches road) with the dirtbike,
we had rangers, sherriffs, and aid units everywhere. (kind of slowed the nightly festivities for awhile.

I'm going to take one for the team this year and stay in town. I'll wheel locally and go out and watch the races at Horn Rapids. I like to wheel, not risk my life and be a part of the Memorial day clusterfawk at Naches.

It is a good thing to provide as much assistance to broken, wounded and injured people as possible.

Here is Maverick, with his fresh broken leg, all those idiots on top of the lines all apparently thought they were pro spotters...they were yelling stupid commands to merely produce carnage:rolleyes:

Yes just use your heads out there--having to deal with that and make a B-LINE for the ER in yakima really sucks......

i dont blame you, seems since the alcohol ban at the dunes, there is alot more idiots at other places now.

Yeah, there is probably a lot of truth in that. Never thought of it that way before.

Watched this happen, not sure what all was being said but it also had something to do with his rig. He was running without doors or any kind of "lip" (like a Jeep) to hold his legs in.

there was a group from tri cities that were helping us get robins buggy out after it broke the rear drive line. then i followed them off the ridge till we came to the cluster fawk of a jam up, where everyone seemed to be stuck. we were the last to make it out of there for the most part. as i left them to make it back to camp, unknown to me till later one rolled off the road 100 ft down. robin ended up helping them get their (denis') rig back up to the road and both him and his wife was alright.

oh and i have a fracture in my left arm. :haha:

yeah yeah yeah ive heard that from just about everyone this weekend.:flipoff: i will when i have plenty of time for my personal gratification:flipoff:

with maverick (Ben) yes he rolled and was fine. He started to unbuckle to asses the situation and thats when drunkin people ran over and decide to flip him back over on all four but did so on a hill which caused him to roll again onto his leg because at this point he was no longer strapped in. He didnt break any bones but he did tear all the ligaments(sp?) in his ankle. Unfortunately that was a story every one will remember as being a bunch of drunkin idiots but the driver wasnt at fault in any of it. With that said this years mem day at naches was much less event full and was great. Cant wait for next year

seems to be more people carnage every year that was my buddy that rooled of the 100' hill.hes so lucky to walk away good thing he built a fine cage his wife is still pissed.Strait up im completely sick of allthe drunk fawks up there and cleaning up there cans whos the numb nuts up there drinking from bottles grow a brain and just grow the fawk up

I was sitting at the bottom of 5 finger when the girl rolled her toyota up there, she was drinking and just floored it at the bottom of the hill and never let off. needless to say it was not a fun show, lots of people running up the hill to check on all 3 girls in th rig and it was her boyfriends truck and his daily driver at that. but it did start back up and drive down, very slowly.
