So we put a new front pinion seal in Sean's cj5 and decided we should make sure it didn't leak by running 311 real quick. It wasn't a bad run once we got Sean in 4lo so he could keep his rpms up and his heep would quit dying. Carbs suck!! We slowly made our way up 311 and found this at the top. View attachment 52706

Who leaves that nice of rig at the top of a mountain? I never would have left my heep there and I don't even have that much money in it. This guy has a lot of faith in people or he's hoping someone is gonna rip it off so he can get some insurance or something. IDK I hope nobody else messes with it but I just couldn't believe it was left there. And then we discovered this on Sean's cj

Some cheesy ass weld and repair job from the PO. So that ended our trip. We limped it down the mountain and called AAA. It's defiantly got some gangsta lean now.

So if anybody has a welder and is willing to travel we could use your assistance.

He cut his fuel pump wiring, spliced it back together and still wouldn't work. We helped him out the next day. It was a loose fuse

I have an unmolested 76-79 CJ5 Frame for $200 if interested..

I aquired it a while back when I bought my 79 in case i had to replace mine since mine was a roll over..

since my frame was not damaged, I don't have much use for it... it is just sitting here waiting to be used in a project.

just want to get what i paid for it, which is the price listed above.

let me know..

I live in Graham...

Yeah we saw the wires hanging on that jeep but didn't really try to figure out what they were. Was everything still there when you guys helped him the next day?

I don't think that frame will work. Sean said they changed a bunch of stuff in 76 and most things won't work on his 74. Thanks tho.

ahh ok.. his is a 74...

the front of the frames are basically the same width, it is from the cowl back where they change, I used to own a 72, 74, 73, 75, 76, 83... haha a couple of em..

let me look around at my other CJ stuff laying around I might have one laying around..

if not, and if you could get the jeep to me, i could repair it...

if you want, give me a call after 3:30 and we can discuss options further..

Well I really think it speaks volumes about the 4x4 community that it was left in tact. We weren't the only group that went by there was another group of about 6 or 7 rigs that went past it as well. We talked to them when we were leaving. I guess if you get high enough in the mountains away from the tweekers there are still honest people out there.

I agree. A lot could have happened to that dudes stuff. But it didn't and that's pretty cool if u ask me

We helped in the morning. His wife didn't know where he went, so we couldn't help out that night. He drove back to camp after the fuse was pushed in.
