Ok, I ran the figures and if my math is correct, I would destroy that formula at once. It's a recipe to defy gravity and we don't want that to happen.

If someone took 5 min to explain what the "letters" mean, then I'd guarantee that 99% of y'all would understand.

It looks a lot more intimidating that it actually is.

It took me years to figure out the letters weren't letters. They are a measurement or a tolerance of some sort. We all use this ****, we just don't use the symbolism. We use it in a real application. I over complicated the hell out of it in high school. When I went back to college at 30 it wasn't as bad but still sucked to the point I had to get a math tutor. The advanced **** is confusing.

Somehow my wife insists this is right. I think I know less math now, than I did before.

Definitely incorrect. X is not used in functions as it is traditionally used in algebra. Like Nick said, it's much more intimidating than it looks. You just have to know what f of x means and how the function works. It's like if I tell you this rock = the color red and this chicken = the color green. You would not know that unless I told you. Functions like this were one of the more easier things I picked up on quickly in MTH 112, there was other **** that gave me a little trouble, can't recall exactly what it was off the top of my head, but I remember saying **** this **** and skipped a section or two. molaugh

So is "f" not 1? And "g" not .5? I know some of that stuff are examples of things I'll never understand. If it's not degrees or fractions I can see on a ruler, I'm pretty much retarded.
