i have a headman header on my 22re and there is no o2 censor. the plug is still there so if i got a differet header i could put an o2 back in. im surprised that the check engine light isnt on and the engine runs awesome. so i guess my question is do these engines really need an o2 censor? and i have to do emissions testing so i was wondering how this is going to effect that?

you can buy a bung to install a sensor down line from the collector.
they'll run without one, but it's better to have it.

i didnt even notice it was without one untill today. in my old truck my o2 censor crapped out and my truck would barely run, plus the check engine light would come on when i would drive for a bit at the same rpm. i guess im just a little surprised they will run without them. im just hoping it doesnt cause the truck to fail emissions.

I have a headmen and the o2 sencor was on the collecter pipe before the cat..:awesomework:

i glanced down there but maybe i missed it. like i said the plug for the o2 censor in the engine compartment is just laying against the firewall so i dont think there is one down by the cat
