On the 4wd issue... most of those blazers have a vacuum actuated disconnect on the front axle. If you didn't hook up the vaccum lines right on the transfer case, or didn't hook them up at all, the front vacuum actuater would never engage the axle. On the leak... you need to figure out where the leak was. It could be the cooler lines, could be a seal of some sort, etc... could be lots of things. Figure out where the fluid is leaking out and fix it. Fill it back up and try again.
