NP205 Issues Pic

First off, I had a leak on the inspection cover, 20 year old paper gasket go figure :

also thought my shift rail seals leaked, cause gear lube hits my exhaust and smells of burnt ****. So i pull off the inspection cover first, get to looking around and see a hole in the top of the case, out of curiosity, I stuck a screwdriver in the hole, looked inside the case and see the f'n screwdriver, so I guess thats a good place for it to sling out

So in the pic below is the hole, any ideas where the hell to find that? One more, where is the magnet supposed to go in that thing? Maybe we need a 205 bible, or maybe I am just dumb :dunno:

I think the hole is the where the cap/plug goes. It's how you access the shifter pin so you can get the shifter fork out.

Yea, there are a couple other rubber plugs in the case but seem to small. I bet I could use an expand a plug trhing from auto zone until I find one.

Lowes carries all sorts of different size rubber and metal plugs for stuff like that.

Its called a freeze plug. I have a couple from my spare 205. You can have one just swing by and pic it up.

just tap the hole w/ a 1/4" NPT pipe tap and screw a plug in it... makes it easy if you ever need to take it out... w/ a freeze plug you have to knock it through, down inside of the case....

I thought about that earlier today. I just got a new tap set to break in anyway.
