The stuff from speedway

I just typed out a big reply on the PBB to have it disappear

anyho

the fittings are brass
I can't find a supplier that sells a brass compression fitting rated at more than 250psi
speedway won't tell me a rating for the fittings individually, they won't tell me anything about them
I was actually told to take my business elsewhere if I didn't feel it was safe.

I'm simply looking for the truth here
Are there fittings that are brass and can be rated for 1900 psi?

Wyatt runs them on his buggy and bought some spare **** for repairs. Sounds like the cats pajamas for a bugghey. Makes routing **** a snap. Rock Ape used it on his 4WS Yota buggy also.

Yeah I run them. Easy as fugg to repair if you ever need to do so. I have never had to do so, but I can see it happening
I bought a spare entire kit for my trailbox on the trailer just in case, $29.

1900psi? I have no idea the rating but they stop my **** on a dime. And I know all of the stock car guys all run them. It works for me, is easy to run, repair, and light as ****. and helps when bleeding as you can see the bubbles.

I have them too and I've heard all the stories of how they work good

but are they safe?
Is someone selling 250psi fittings and rating the system at 2000psi

Is there a reason they won't accept liability or make em street legal

I ran all of the brake lines on a 6500 lb rig using the nylon kit. Simple as hell, no problems with the brakes other than 2 pinion brakes trying to stop that beast at speed. I pretty much had the same outlook on it, if they are made to run on stock cars, they should be sufficient for our application.

No one else cares that the fittings are only rated at 250psi?

or is there a possibility of a higher rated brass fitting?

They could be rated for 5psi, as long as they hold my junk, I'm good.

I did about an hour of prerunner style running in my buggy back in early Feb. Probably close to 25 miles of hard braking, jumping, sliding turns, obstacles, etc... I was not at the Hammers for KOH, but I would guarantee what I did was similiar. And I did start to get a little bit of brake fade from how hot I had my calipers, and yes my air shocks were hot to the touch once we got done. I flat out ran my ****, and those lines held up fine. I even have a piece of line with a grinder knick in it that I keep paying attention too, though I should just cut and replace, and its now got 3 trips on it, and that hauling ass bit included. I'm a believer in the nylon lines. Just carry a spare kit and something to cut it with (knife).

what are you guys doing for tittings?

I have a corvette MC which has inverted flare fittings, one is a 9/16 - 18 and the other is a 1/3-20

No one is making a inverted flare fitting to a pipe thread that I can find

I've also been told by 2 hydro shops that no one makes that fitting because OEM's didn't want pipe threads in a brake system for a reason?

Thoughts or help finding the fittings to run this nylon brake kit?

How about a linky to were you guys are buyin these "kits" Im about to plumb my junk

Thats always an option at the races, but outside of that Pauls going to want spares, the whole thing is about the size of 3 CD jewel cases stacked on top of each other. SMALL!

Shits fair game if it keeps you out on the track, just replace it.

4 trips to the hardware store and i got mine done

6 fittings per line later and my contraption is converted over!

So what's the thought on pipe tape on brake lines?
