i know everybody here has an atlas now but I am poor and still run a 205

has anyone ever made their own single lever shifter for a clocked 205? my NWF cable shifters can be a pain when going from 4wheel low to 4 wheel high quickly and i would like 1 lever to just jerk down into either range as quickly as possible, loosing front dig is not important at this point.

my main question is can i simply tie both shift rails together with a pivot point in the middle then attach my lever to that?

i was going to look at making a bracked to adapt a stock shifter to the clocked case but i cant find a stock shifter

lomax gm 205 8 bolt - to a th400

i tried makin a shifter for clocked 205 chevy and couldnt get the front to work right cuz i lost the mechanical advantage on the pivot point....went with nwf cables...not to say it couldnt be done but i messed with a few combinations and called it quites
