I know there are quite a few people on here into classic/muscle/hot rods whatever you want to call them. Is the market that bad that people are getting 15-18,000 for damn near junk? I was searching some forums and Craigslist yesterday and DAMN did people hit there head. Guys trying to get $18,000 for rusted out 6cyl trucks. Sooo are you guys down south actually selling them for that price or is it just a swing for the stars and hope to hit over the fence scenario? I was just looking for projects nothing finished.

Too many people have been watching Fast and Loud... Or seen Jeff's Tetanus truck....

But no, from what I have seen the majority of the trucks are not that much higher than they once were. At least around here. A no rust straight body truck is worth good money but not gold bouillon prices.

T.v shows have made a big impact on the market. Found a old model t body that was rusted out had trees growing through the thing, good rat rod body and the guy wanted 6 grand !!!!

Re:

Around here people are asking rediculous money for rusted out junk. Every now and then you find someone who has a decent price, but most people think that what they have is gold, when in reality it's so far gone it's hardly even worth the time for a resto

Matth where is down here? 3 outrageously priced c-10's were in Alabama. Dudes thought they were sitting on rusty gold. :****:

SC. Those trucks IF SOLID bring 3-6K around here and have for a long time.

Gas monkey and the likes are a lot to blame I think, Internet is also a lot to blame, you have to be quick on the deals now to. I have been looking for a smoking deal on a Vette for a while and finally found the deal of my life on a 74 c3 with 42,000 miles last week. I also wonder how many old cars and trucks were crushed during that cash for clunkers?

TV has played some part of price hike same as the Pickers made stop signs go up, around here the small town monthly car shows is very popular and has got alot of people to spend there money on old rides. Pikeville Ky even has a short drag race in town during the event thumb.gif

Is that the show where a full drag car went into the crowd several years ago?
