Left my house at 6 am yesterday morning, to drive about 2 hours to a buddy Andys to do my cage. I didnt contribute much, just held some tubes ??? But did get a little educated at bending. Anyway, got finished with it at 6 that night, then brought it back home. I still have to make the dash out of aluminum, and the side panels, plus, connect the floor plates to my frame/boatsides which I am doing now. Here are a few pics. I will add pics as I do the dash but it will be slow, because I want it to look goood laughing1 EDIT, sorry you have to click the pics, photobuckt is messed up so I used webshots

We didnt tie it to the frame because of time, I am have been working on that now, even though, it seems the floorplates are in the worst spots on the underside, but I should be done with that stuff tomorrow.

Yea, I do, I like to have the switch plate seperate from the main panel, cause if I need to re wire or fix a switch i dont have to pull the hole panel.

Got the cage connected to the frame, so I started on the dash :woody: Just need to add the CD player to the panel.

Haha, I know.....the bolts are not holding it in, its just sitting there. :flipoff1: At least someone replies though with some insight, I thought it turned out OK for me :dunno: It serves a purpose, and I dont wanna get crazy with the inside or out, because I have other issues to address, like leaks. lol

I love it! Though, I have never been able to keep flapdisked aluminum clean and white for longer than about two days.

Do you clear coat it and wait for it to flake off?

I had never done it before. I really didnt want to polish the alum. because thats alot of effort so I used the 2" disk on the die grinder, and just shot it with some clear, hopefully that will make it last. :dunno:

it will last for a while. Clear on aluminum does two things with time, it yellows, then it flakes off. Hopefully it takes a long time before that happens.

I love polished aluminum, but its damn near zen to maintain. I think I should be sponsored by Mothers for how much I use.

Thanks cole, yah, I will miss ya guys even though I catch alot of **** from Daniel and Neil, but after I put the axles in next week I will be ready to ride, so hopefully we can all meet up.

I think the dash would look good "jeweled". I made a jeweling program for my mill it's still in there. OH WAIT YOU DONT LIVE HERE ANYMORE!!!!!
