Recently I got my buggy put together and I'm having motor problems. After much testing it seems as though my oxygen sesors on are too close to the end of the headers and are picking up outside air creating a false reading that the motor is lean. The computer responds by increasing fuel injector pulse duration and the motor gets so rich it is undriveable. What have you seen done before to correct this issue. Full exhaust is not an option. My fans turn on by toggle switch so is it possible for me to unplug my coolant temperature sensor and run the buggy in open loop eliminating the input from the O2 sensors?

I had to manually tune my motor below 1500 rpm and left the O2 sensors working above that. Holley efi, but a tuner might could do yours that way?

Looks like a wideband o2 sensor tune is in order. Plan is to tune the motor with the O2 sensors on then put the computer at the fuel tables it likes best. Then we will tell the computer to ignore theO2 sensors all together and run it without. Not to pleased with Texas speed sport right now tho. I talked with their tech guy a couple times and they kept telling me I had to run full exhaust or a header pipe extension. They never mentioned this as an option and I had to do my own research to figure out all this. Guess they only know cars?

Anyways here are some pics of my buggy, RIOT!

Where's the cooler go? :dunno:
Lol. That was my question the first time I saw it. He has a soft cooler he can strap over the fuel cell.

It has a flip down Ipad/DVD player mount, I figured it would have a built in ARB Fridge/Freezer too laughing1

I still have some tricks up my sleeve. It might look nice but she's a bad girl and is about to get a beating. P.s. I thought the beer went in my belly??

True, true.

I'll have 2 coolers on the EVO2 when I get it done... :drinkers:

I brought the buggy to a dyno tuner. He turned off the stock o2 sensors and tuned it with a wide band O2 sensor with a length of tubing connected to the header. He ran it 3 times on the dyno and got it dialed in. Its a whole new machine now, and runs great.
