Yes, it is a real expo/convention in the Kentucky Exposition Center (6th largest convention center in the states)
It is all about off-road and 4x4 vehicles.
We're at almost 200 exhibitors including some of the biggest names our industry has to offer.
Right outside is a 5 acres race course / obstacle course where you can watch race demos a couple of times per day, performed by professionals.
In between the race shows you can take your own 4x4 vehicle on the course.

ALSO -

Friday Night after the show is over (9:00pm) we're going to have our first annual -

UORExpo -The "Cavern & Tavern" - Charity Night Crawl

Hundreds of Off-Road Vehicles will drive from the Kentucky Exposition Center into the Louisville Mega Cavern - 1.2 miles of dirt, 100 feet under the City!
After that we'll go even further downtown to the Fourth Street Live!
Entertainment District and have some snacks and drinks all together before we all go back to the KEC.

The charity ride should be good times. Riding through louisville in my offroad rig and stopping at 4th Street? I'm in. Police escort back to my trailer. I am definitely in. :woot:

Let me get this straight, so we can leave the expo center, drive through the caverns, then downtown with no tags in our buggys? And back? Get the hell out of here!! Now I just need to find tires, not really interested in driving stickies!

That is what I understand. I questioned it at first also. When I first heard about it there wasn't any info on how everyone would get back to the expo center after arriving downtown. They have since stated that there would be a police escort back to the expo center. I hope there is a big turnout for this. The better the turn out and the more money that is raised the better opportunity of keeping this around. I will be trailering my rig to the expo center Friday afternoon in preparation for this. May get it on the course if it seems interesting enough.(heard it is gonna be larger and included more rocks this year) Then I'm gonna pull the drive slugs and get it ready for some street time. booyang

btw......for those that have never been to 4th Street Live it is worth checking out. Hard Rock Café, Sports and Social Club, PBR Bar, Sully's Saloon, Marker's Mark Pub, Howl at the Moon Piano Bar, Marquee Bar, and Kill Devil Club are some of the establishments that come to mind. Not to mention that the scenery is usually really nice. :cougar:

I talked with Marvin and Axel this weekend at a car show in Louisville they were at. The plan to actually stop at 4th street has likely changed, since there's nowhere there to park a few hundred rigs they are expecting to particapate. The city wanted them to bring everyone downtown but there's really nowhere to go that can fit everyone. They have around 500 people on facebook that are saying they are going to be in the parade/cruise. Look for updates on the cruise on FB.

Well, that kinda sucks. Should still be a good time though. For those that are gonna be coming from out of town, I would still check out 4th Street Live if you have never been. Always a good time.

From the info I am getting off of facespace, I think the trip to 4th Street Live is back on. Not really sure what changed but it looks like we are headed to the sports and social club at 4th street. :woot:

Line up will begin at 9 pm on Friday. The mega truck freestyle show will run till 9. The lineup will begin after the show and the parade will depart the expo center around 9:30. Hearing around 500 vehicles so this will be huge. Also hearing that the vendor count is now up over 200. That is awesome. 120 last year and 200 this year. Just gonna keep getting bigger I hope.

You can get tickets at the door, if any of you hardliners are going and want to ride together in the night ride let me know,, I know redline diesel and scooter are going, anyone else who wants to meet loller.gif post up.

Found out yesterday that we will be going to O'shea's pub for the tavern portion of the ride. Not at 4th street live but it is in the Highlands which is still pretty cool. All vehicles will be given road passes for the night and you can leave the pub whenever you like. The wife and I will definitely be there. I also know of several more non street legal rigs that will be participating. I think they may be trying to set a record for the longest parade of vehicles. This should be a good time.

This will be the last time this happens, guarantee, a bunch of rigs, buggys on the road, motors loud as hell, bright led light bars. I just don't see it ever happening again, and add going to bars :wtflol: but I'm in!!! :driving: :****:
