Outer ear infections

anyone else get them? Mine right now is bad enough my ear parts are swollen so that my ear is hanging war farther out than normal (I know, possible?) and red/swollen. I get them every 6 months or so, and if I don't get drops in right away I end up at the doctor with a fever, like today.
Also getting an MRI on the knee finally. It popped and spit out playing volleyball yesterday and I dropped like a sack of potatoes again. Stupid volleyball laughing1
Prob need scoped as its had the gravel in knee sound for about 6 months from years of quad and bike abuse. I don't think I would usually post but I'm tripping balls on darvocet and sprite, hardcore I tell ya :flipgotcha:

Well your ears are like big rain catchers so the only logical way to keep from getting them would be to tape them bad boys down.

Matt, I hadn't thought of it being from rain, or maybe from facing the shower head and they scoop the water up and in the canal. I'll have to ask the doc about that.

This **** has to stop though, 2 days off work now, and normally when I'm "sick" I crawl out to the shop and work. This one has been so bad I went out for 20 min today and ended up dizzy enough I was about to puke and had to sit. **** this stuff I just want to work

Actually no, and I believe those are for inner ear infections right? these are swimmers ear. outers.
I CAN HEAR today. Its great. My canal is almost swelled shut, I can't get anything snaked in there to get the medicine/water/chunky stuff out. I finally took a napkin, rolled it really tight at the corner and had a long spear of paper. I got it in there and out came some blood, some white crap and some chunks

uke:. 3 soaked napkin spears later, I can hear, although most of what I hear is my ears ringing. laughing1

its not terrible looking, the 3 on the way home were real bad. Its hard to see the white stuff on there, but each end is soaked and has small white goo all over it. I'm just happy I can hear again and the pressure is even lower today. no pain killers either, along with that comes no nausea :eat:
