what's the hoe weigh? I'd say you are far from legal, but your tires are most likely good for 3200 apiece x 8 is 25,600 minus the weight of the trailer that isn't on the truck, 6K is about 20K allowed for the hoe. Might have been over if its a 30K hoe or so. laughing1

I'll add you to my list of people that have no business telling me I can't tow a 4,880lb setup with a tacoma rated at 5k. ;D

The Hoe is about 16000 # but the 20 ton trailer is heavy as hell, I would say at the very least 10,000#

The rear tries on the truck are the limiting factor always when you tow with a single wheel truck. We don't go far with this thing. We also tow our Dozer on the same trailer and it is really heavy.

oh ****, that hoe is a lot smaller than I thought. our trailer is 22', 3/16" AR400 steel deck, 102" wide, 12" H beam main rails, 4" cross rails and a HUGE fawking dove with heavy as balls ramps and 12K's under it dualed up and it only weighs in at 8400#.
With our backhoe (18,000#) on it, we have to stay over the trailer axles and only put about 3K on the truck. it has vaccuum over hydraulic disc brakes on it, so it will lock them up fully loaded if you want it to. it is a stopping machine. This is on a dually duramax though. the truck is helpless stopping the loads we demand of it without the brakes working. we've lost vacuum before and though we were going to die weighing over 38K. its tagged for 36 molaugh

dont laugh fugger. I had a 24k in cattle push me across new 68 where old 68 T's into it. Yeah totally blind to the east, all I could do was hammer down and shoot the gap. Fuggin 18 wheeler about 2 seconds out of cutting us in two.
Got to a stop, and started looking over the trailer, damn plug had wiggled barely loose. Thats all it took for a near **** myself experience.

Nolen, looks like you're ok, not fine, but ok. I wouldn't be mauling long distance or any real speed, but that ****'ll ride.

I figured this trailer weighed more than it did...if yours only weighs 8800# this one would be lighter for sure. Wood deck and all.

I had to google the Trackhoe.....it is about 8 years old so nothing on the web on the weight...it may weigh more than 15K

I got one for you to. While moving my shop last week we had to move the Piranha and this is what we run into. Lest just say the kids panicked when the left side tires started coming off the ground.

My buddy's 20 ton trailer that I hauled to Moab is a 29' dual tandem deckover. The tag on the neck says the trailer weighs 6500 empty.
