Yeah watched that the other day. It's pretty crazy. The Co Driver broke his back. Luckily Team Herbst was flying in the area and had there Medic on board and stopped and helped out until they could Air lift him out. I think the crash happened in Feb 09.
There is a pretty big write up about it on RDC in the desert forum.

I've watched it like 5 times, and wow. I have huge goose bumps every time they drop in and the codog puts his hand up and OH ****. I hated that feeling on quads or whatever else going fast and coming up on something and your stomach floats on you. You know you are about to eat handlebars. That is really playing with fire in triple digit speeds. skully

Video sneaks up on you just like it did with the guys I'm sure.. Think the worst thing is after you see ground they had plenty of time to think about how bad it was about to suck...

Parker lap race, and you get to pre-run on the fun run, plus there are really good "Turn by Turns" available, plus its the same course year on year.
They had to know the road did that which points at the Co-dog not calling the course.
Listen to the co-dog, last call he makes is "Sweeping" a solid 3/8 of a mile earlier. Co-dog should have had that called out. The driver didn't have any idea what was up ahead, he just had it wooded.

Hella cool vid right up until the wreck. Glad they lived.

I have watched that video over and over. That is so violent it is amazing they lived to talk about it. It shows how well the cars are built to take a hit like that and still keep the occupants safe.
